Elena Manferdini
Elena Manferdini, principal and owner of Atelier Manferdini, has twenty years of professional experience in design and education. She currently teaches at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) and is the Graduate Programs Chair. With a body of work that spans art, architecture, and industrial design, her eponymous atelier has created award-winning work across three continents which both inspire and uplift the human spirit. Her collaborations are vast and span the likes of major brand names such as Swarovski, Valentino, Alessi, Nike and BMW.
Her rug designs for Lindstrom take on the painting genre called “Natura Morta” (Italian for “Still Life”) an academic exercise in composition, color and texture. They each create discreet, still moments of personal contemplation of nature in a domestic setting, and represent windows into alternative worlds, lost in time.
